Production of STAHL laundry machines
State-of-the-art production plant in the Swabian town of Sindelfingen
Our high quality laundry machines are exclusively manufactured in Maichingen, a suburb of the industrial town of Sindelfingen, one of the key areas of machine engineering in the greater region of Stuttgart. We practice machine engineering of the best kind on 7500 m² in three production halls. Made by Stahl for us means Made in Germany.
Our development engineers work with the newest construction programs, qualified specialists prepare the parts for assembly using the latest metal working machines. The heart of our casing construction is our punch-laser-combination and our fully automated laser beam cutter, which takes out metal sheets with a thickness of up to 30 mm from the high bay racks and cuts them into blanks for the laundry machines.

The blanks are then processed by a RAS swing-folding machine. The icing on the cake in terms of metal processing is the bend centre, also a RAS machine.

In addition to producing the casings for our laundry machines in-house, we also bend and weld the drums for our washing machines and high performance dryers ourselves. The drum bearing as the most important component of our industrial laundry machines is also completely manufactured at STAHL. Thomas Stahl developed this drum bearing in 1989 for our washer extractors. The bearing is an ideal demonstration of the company’s philosophy focused on products that satisfy the very best quality standards and offer a long service life. The bearing with its large scale design and virtually trouble free operation has thus been manufactured for two decades and has become a symbol of STAHL’s commitment to quality.

Our machining centre has been especially set-up for the production of our STAHL heated bed ironers, which are available with a roll diameter of 200 to 2010 mm. The rolls and the STAHL-SUPER- CHEST with the overextension on the feed side are machined within a one-hundredth millimetre range by especially trained staff.

The optimal linen finish of our STAHL-SUPER-CHEST is achieved by a combination of pressure and a long ironing path.
